Supabase charges $5 per 1,000 origin images after the first 100, on paid plans only. Set your monthly volume to see the bill, the egress it adds, and what the same images cost on ProdKit.
An origin image is one source file in your bucket, counted once a month however many sizes it's served at. That's the unit Supabase bills: $5 per 1,000 after 100 included on paid plans. Supabase pricing

~30 GB/month of image traffic moves off your Supabase egress quota.
Assumes ~60 KB per optimized image. Originals are fetched from Supabase only when a new size is generated.
How the math works
- Supabase transformations: max(0, origin images − 100) × $5 ÷ 1,000. At 10,000 images that's $49.50 a month, on top of a paid plan from $25.
- Supabase egress: views × 60 KB per optimized image. Beyond 250 GB of cached egress, Supabase charges $0.03 per GB.
- ProdKit: the cheapest plan that covers your volume, including overage. Delivery is included, and views served from cache never reach Supabase.
What it costs each month

Questions
How does Supabase bill image transformations?
Per origin image: each distinct source file transformed in a billing cycle counts once, however many sizes you request. Pro and Team include 100 origin images, then charge $5 per 1,000. The Free plan doesn't include transformations.
Do transformed images count toward egress?
Yes. Transformed images are delivered from Supabase, so views count toward Storage egress. Pro includes 250 GB of cached egress, then charges $0.03 per GB.
Why does ProdKit use the same unit?
So the comparison is like for like. ProdKit bills per origin image too, with up to five sizes of each image included every month and formats never counted.
